On Sidehustles

Everyone can always use more money. The question is, how do you make more of it without killing yourself in the process or at least stretching yourself so thin that you don’t get a chance to enjoy the extra cash? The other issue is that most people are already working a full-time job or are working full time hours.

Enter the sidehustle which is defined as work performed for income supplementary to one’s primary job. For some that is driving for a ride share company. Others is it delivering food. Still others are doing online flipping or crypto. None of that works for me. I don’t want to drive around town, I’m terrible at shopping type stuff, I’ve tried to start a niche YouTube channel and that hasn’t gone anywhere. OK, that last one if probably my fault.

So what am I trying to do now? In the past I have had a couple of affiliate-type websites running WordPress. And I made some money off of one of them, but then things came up and I stopped dealing with it. But I’m trying something new, same idea different niche. Will it work, who knows. I’ve only been running it for a day or two. Lets check back in six months and see. I’m also trying to keep up with this site. While it is mostly ramblings, I might throw an ad up once in a while or have a sponsored link.

I also have a couple of other ideas kicking around, but I need to do more research into them before I commit since they would require spending more money than I have on a gamble.

Lastly, I might try and start writing some fiction type things. Post them online and use Patreon or Kofi or something. But I’m not sure of my skills in that area so that is way down on the list.

That’s all I have for now, but I’ll keep this site with its negative visitor count updated as to what works and doesn’t work.
